The J-2000 Gladiator was the first SJ model pickup, and it shares a front end and grille with the SJ Wagoneer. It was available with a 7-foot or 8-foot standard box bed, as well as a flat bed. It was the successor to the 473 Willys Jeep Truck, and the first Gladiator jeep. The Gladiator nameplate would continue with seeral models, and is still in use today.
